The following are a couple of video clips of the 1812 reenactement that took place recently in Wasaga Bearch (July 24, 2010). Nancy Island was the camping site with those involved in the reenactement spent the weekend in 1812 style. Army style tents, campfires and costumes of the 1812-15 period were the standard of the weekend. American as well as British soldiers and their respective militias were on-site. Families children and women-folk participate in roles that were appropriate for the era. Well worth spending the day as a visitor and no doubt extremely enjoyable for those that participate.
